Thanksgiving in Idaho

This year we were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family in Idaho! It was so fun seeing everyone! We had tons of fun riding their dirt bike in the big fields behind their home and making our Thanksgiving Feast!
The continuous ping pong battle in the basement was one of the main activities at the house. I thought for sure some some kind of fight would break out after all the matches that were won an lost (i've never seen my cousins, brother and husband so into a game! lol).

Little Noah is so big now! Last time i saw him, he was two weeks old and so tiny! Now he's almost 17 months old and he's turning into a little man (and totally adorable by the way)! Caden and him had a great time playing together handing each other toys and Noah being soft (he would gently touch Caden's cheek :) so cute). Shelley had great news..... she's pregnant with twins!!! yay! and Tessa is 27 weeks pregnant with a little boy! So many babies in the family!! Anyways we had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we hope all of you did too!

Time Flies

It seems like just yesterday Taylor and I were on our first date.. now we have a beautiful baby and we're a month away from our one year anniversary.

Well lets start from the beginning.  Taylor and I met about three and a half years ago (beginning of my senior year and his junior year in high school).  We met through a friend and instantly clicked. We kept in touch throughout the rest of high school and stayed friends. After a year and a half of not seeing each other, our paths crossed at the beginning of April 2007 and we started dating a few months later...
After 5 months of dating we decided to get married and set the date for January 2, 2008. Our wedding took place at the Lion House in Salt Lake City Utah.  We went on our honeymoon to the Zermatt resort in Midway Utah. We were able to get a great deal on a basement apartment in Orem, and we are currently living there....
As we started our new lives together we were blessed with many opportunities. Taylor was able to start up a small business called "Cell Again" with his dad and a family friend as another partner. He has a kiosk in the mall where they buy and sell new and used phones, they are also a cricket dealer.  Taylor has done a great job with the business and it's doing very well. I worked at a copy center in Springville (definitely not exciting) until the end of May when I was about a month away from having our baby...
Now for the exciting part! July was a long month, waiting for Caden to come... it seemed like forever.  His due date was July 18th and we were definitely ready for him... but... he wasn't quite ready for us!  We waited day after day, bags packed, waiting to go to the hospital! Finally a week after the due date we had a doctors appointment.  The doctor said he wanted to wait two more days and then I would be induced (we were so disappointed!).. but he said we needed to have a non stress test done to make sure there was still enough amniotic fluid and make sure Caden's heart rate was active. We went directly from there to the hospital to have the test done.  After waiting for an hour in the test the doctors at the hospital decided I needed to be induced immediately! Caden's heart was showing signs of sterss and it wasn't safe to leave him in there any longer! I was so scared and worried.  They sent me right over to labor and delivery, I was induced shortly after we were set up in the room.  It took me a long time to dilate but after about 11 hours of labor I was able to start pushing. Caden was born at 10:52 p.m. on July 25th (1 hour and 8 minutes before Taylor's birthday)! He was a healthy beautiful baby and we were so glad he was finally with us! What a blessing he is in our lives!
Since Caden's birth time has passed so quickly.. too quickly.. I can't believe Christmas is less than a month away! Caden is growing so much and he's such a fun little boy! We love him so much!
The day we've been looking forward to for so long is almost here. Our little family will be sealed for time and all eternity on January 3, 2009 in the Timpanogos Temple! We are so excited for this special day!
